Services subkey

The sub-key in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / System / CurrentControlSet / Services branch. The sub-keystored the Windows services information, some native, some are installed. In the subkey under this sub-key stored each corresponding service configuration and descriptions.

(1) Class subkey

The sub-key in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / System / CurrentControlSet / Services / Class branch. Thesubkey saved different types of hardware information which Windows supported, it is similar withthe category of Add New Hardware in "Control Panel" under the following sub-keys. The following is some brief classification of hardware sub-key.

① 1394 subkey

The sub-key in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / System / CurrentControlSet / Services / Class1394, used to configure "1394 Bus Controller" which meet IEEE 1394 specifications, * @ = 1394 bus controller: a description of the specified subkey name 1394.

* Class = 1394: specify "1394 Bus Controller" category to "1394."

③ Adapter subkey

The sub-key in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / System / CurrentControlSet / Services / Class / Adapter branch, used to configure the "CD-ROM controller."

* @ = CD-ROM controller: specify a description name of the subkey.

* Icon =- 9: the specified icon.

⑤ Printer subkey

The sub-key in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / System / CurrentControlSet / Services / Class / Printer branches, used to configure the "printer."

* @ = Printer: specify a description name of the subkey.

* Installer = MSPRINT.DLL: specify "printer" installation procedure "MSPRINT.DLL".

* Icon =- 4: the specified icon.

* NoDisplayClass = 1: to determine whether to display class. If 1 is not shown class. If 0, then the display class.

⑥ MEDIA subkey

The sub-key in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / System / CurrentControlSet / Services / Class / MEDIA branch, used to configure multimedia devices, including sound cards, video cards and game controllers.
